Kynar® PVDF polymers are easily processed using standard processing equipment and the resultant pipe, tubing, fitting, connectors and tanks are easily maintained and adapted during their long service life. Their inherent resistance to bacterial growth and their resistance to ozone, chlorine dioxide, sodium hypochlorite make them well suited to replce stainless steel and exotic metal alloys.

Components made from Kynar® PVDF do not rust or rouge. They are light weight, have excellent flame and smoke properties and are extremely durable. Certain grades are approved for water contact (NSF61, ACS and KTW approvals) - see your Arkema representative for the exact approvals for each chosen grade.

Kynar® Fluoropolymer Solutions to Replace Metals & Exotic Alloys

• While metals rust and rouge with age, Kynar® PVDF components do not corrode
and do not need to be passivated

The actual temperature and pressure ratings of your system, as well as its resistance to chemical attack, are dependent on many environmental factors. Higher operating temperatures will reduce the Kynar® system’s maximum operating pressure; higher operating pressures will reduce the system’s maximum operating temperature. Higher operating pressures or tempera- tures may also require increased component wall thickness.
