Compared to alternative transparent materials like PMMA, PC, and PEI, Rilsan® and Pebax® solutions are much lighter without sacrificing strength and toughness. The Rilsan® Clear and Pebax® Rnew® product ranges both have partially bio-based grades, up to 95% based on a feedstock of castor oil. These resins are also BPA and BPS free with great chemical resistance.

Arkema provides plenum-rated polymers used for corrosive waste drainage pipes and other components. Select grades of Kynar® PVDF can easily achieve the flame spread and smoke developed rating of 25/50 when tested in full accordance with ASTM E 84 or UL 723. With its exceptional chemical resistance and mechanical strength, Kynar® PVDF pipe is an excellent choice for use in the plenum for applications such as corrosive waste drainage and laboratory chemical systems.
